A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS.

Short links.
Clear answers.

A little clarity before you click.

What is d-m.pw?

d-m.pw is a URL shortener. It turns a long web address into a compact link that redirects visitors to the original page.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Paste your URL, shorten it, and copy the result. You can create a link directly from this page.

Can I choose my own short address?

Yes. Select “Customize your link” and enter an available address, such as d-m.pw/my-project. Use 3–32 letters, numbers, hyphens or underscores. Addresses are case-sensitive.

Will my link expire?

Links have no automatic expiry. Their destination can still change or become unavailable, and links may be removed if they are used abusively. Keep a copy of your original URL.

Which links can I shorten?

HTTP and HTTPS web addresses. Recognized local/private IP addresses and local hostnames, links with embedded login credentials, and d-m.pw links are not accepted. A short link does not verify its destination. Never include passwords or private access tokens in a URL you share.

Where can I find my recent links?

Your five most recent links are saved in this browser when browser storage is available. They are not synced across devices. Clearing the browser history shown here does not delete the links from the service.

GOOD THINGS TRAVEL LIGHT.

Got something to share?

Give it a shorter way to get there.

Let's shorten it

Privacy & data

The service stores your original URL, its short address, and creation time so that short links can redirect to their destination.

Your recent links are also saved locally in this browser when storage is available. Use “Clear history” to remove that local list; this does not remove links from the service.

Hosting infrastructure may log IP addresses and requests for operation and security. Request addresses are used to limit excessive link creation. Do not put private credentials, sensitive information, or secret access tokens in a URL you shorten.

Responsible use

Share destinations you have permission to share. Do not use short links for phishing, malware, spam, or other unlawful or abusive activity.

A short URL does not verify its destination. Only open links from sources you trust. HTTP and HTTPS URLs are supported. Recognized local/private IP addresses, local hostnames and embedded login credentials are rejected; destination DNS and content are not checked.

Links can be restricted or removed when used abusively. Keep the original URL: a short link cannot guarantee that a third-party destination remains available.
